The Butterfly
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.
One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body
through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it
could, and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped
off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it has a swollen body and small, shriveled
wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and
expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled
wings. It never was able to fly. What the man, in his kindness and haste, failed to understand was that the restricting
cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were nature’s way of forcing fluid
from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes,
struggles are exactly what we need in our
lives in order to emerge and take
flight!
The
Wolves Story
An old Cherokee is
telling his grandson about a fight that is going on inside himself. He said it is between wolves. One is evil:
anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and
ego… The other is good: joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity,
truth, compassion and faith… The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which
wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one I feed.”

Happiness is a choice we make! You can
get up in the morning and make a choice to be happy, playful
and joyful or sad, resentful, and angry! Life is way to short to choose anything but being happy. I have learned that true
happiness comes from within myself and it is not something that anyone can give or take away from me unless I let them! Life
is a journey that allows us to experience all it has to offer! It is not always perfect but we can make it perfect by making
the right choices for ourselves! It is not our fault if we fall down, but . . . .
it is our fault if we do not try to get up!
KINDNESS
No act of kindness no matter how small,
is ever wasted. When you carry out acts of kindness you get a wonderful feeling inside. It is as though something inside
your body responds and says, yes, this is how I ought to feel. A
person's true wealth is the good he or she does in the world.
Kindness in words creates confidence,
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness,
Kindness in feeling creates love.
Honesty
Honesty is telling the truth.
Honesty is straightforward conduct.
Honesty is being sincere, truthful, trustworthy, honorable,
fair, genuine, and loyal with integrity.
When your dishonest-you're hurting yourself.
Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking.
The Girl In The
Glass
When you get what you want in the struggle of life And the world
makes you queen for a day... Go to the mirror and take a look at yourself And see what that girl has to
say.
It isn't your mother, father or husband Whose judgment on you must pass. The person whose verdict counts
most in your life Is the girl staring back from the glass.
You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum And
think you are a wonderful girl. But the girl in the glass says you are a bum If you can't look her straight in the
eye.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years And get pats on your back as you pass. But your
final reward will be heartache and tears If you've cheated the girl in the glass.
Smile
A friendly smile costs nothing But
gives so very much It’s as welcome as early flowers Or a gentle loving touch.
It enriches those who receive it Taking
nothing from those who give That smile is always remembered For as long as we’re destined to live.
None are so rich and so mighty That
a smile won’t brighten their day And none are so poor and deprived They can’t afford to give one away.
A smile is a moment of pleasure In
the home or to those we meet It’s a countersign of our friendship As we stroll along the street.
It’s cheer to those discouraged It
is sunshine to those feeling lost The best thing to be said about it Is the fact that it has no cost.
It is something that can’t
be purchased Borrowed or stolen this day For it’s something that has no value Until it is given away.
HUGGING
Hugging is healthy. It helps the body’s
immune system, it keeps you healthier, it cures depression, it reduces stress, it induces sleep, it’s invigorating,
it’s rejuvenating, it has no unpleasant side effects, and hugging is nothing less than a Miracle drug.
Hugging
is all natural. It is organic, naturally sweet, no pesticides, no preservatives, no artificial ingredients and 100 percent
wholesome.
Hugging is practically perfect. There are no movable parts, no batteries to wear out, no periodic
check-ups, low energy consumption, high energy yield, inflation proof, nonfattening, no monthly payments, no insurance requirements,
theft-proof, non-taxable, non-polluting, and of course, fully returnable.

A truly sexy woman does
not need a man to tell her she is sexy. She does not need an audience to show off for. She does not need fancy clothes. Or
a pair of shoes with "fuck me" heels/ Or sparkling gold or jewels. Or makeup done to perfection. She needs nothing. Just
herself. A truly sexy woman is not presenting a front for the world to see. She just simply is. It isnt anything
she does that makes her that away. She is just being herself. She truly appreciates her own individuality. She realizes
that there are those in the world who may not see her uniqueness. But she doesn't care. She knows who and what she is. So
here's to all of my sexy female friends out there. And all of the men who are wise enough to appreciate them. Always
remember... All the adoration in the world means nothing, If you do not admire yourself. So be proud. Be strong. Never
let anyone else put you down. But more important, Never put yourself down. There is only one you and you are truly
special.
Admire
the moon. Be silly!
Take risks. Look on the bright
side. Listen to your heart. Don't fear love. Remember: it's never too late.
Share! Don't runface your
fears. Smell the flowers! Be an optimist.
Open a new window. Laugh
often! ha ha ha Live today! Do it now! Speak straight and true! Reach out! Take time! Be brave.
Life's too short to be ordinary!
How to Love Yourself
Stop all criticism. Criticism never changes a thing. Refuse to criticize yourself. Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody
changes. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive.
Don't scare yourself. Stop terrorizing
yourself with your thoughts. It's a dreadful way to live. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure (mine is yellow roses),
and immediately switch your scary thought to a pleasure thought.
Be gentle and kind and patient.
Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be patient with yourself as you learn the new ways of thinking. Treat yourself
as you would someone you really loved.
Be kind to your mind. Self-hatred
is only hating your own thoughts. Don't hate yourself for having the thoughts. Gently change your thoughts.
Praise yourself. Criticism breaks
down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with
every little thing.
Support yourself. Find ways to support
yourself. Reach out to friends and allow them to help you. It is being strong to ask for help when you need it.
Be loving to your negatives. Acknowledge
that you created them to fulfill a need. Now you are finding new, positive ways to fulfill those needs. So lovingly release
the old negative patterns.
Take care of your body. Learn about
nutrition. What kind of fuel does your body need to have optimum energy and vitality? Learn about exercise. What kind of exercise
can you enjoy? Cherish and revere the temple you live in.
Mirror work. Lock into your eyes
often. Express this growing sense of love you have for yourself. Forgive yourself looking into the mirror. Talk to your parents
looking into the mirror. Forgive them too. At least once a day say: "I love you, I really love you!"
Love yourself. Begin it now. Do
the best you can.
Today I affirm:
Each new day brings endless
possibilities to be thankful. Each person, place, raindrop,
snowflake, gentle breeze, cloud, flower, tree, leaf, sunrise,
and sunset is a gift. I choose to appreciate it all. I am open and receptive
to all good. I appreciate the mystery of life and
welcome it with open arms. I love my friends and they love me.
